Wednesday in class we watched a video on the work of Alfredo Jaar. He really has the mentality of a true artist, and he is aware of this and it using it with purpose. The video we watched really exposed his activist work that had a strong political message to convey. His persistence was evident in the wide variety of projects. The man has an idea and he makes it real. It's incredible. Jaar doesn't seem to give up either he's very persistent. He mentioned he approaches all art with how he approached architecture, which is what he studied. I personally understand this, how someone can manipulate the experiences or provoke emotions by utilizing an environment. Jaar uses his art actively to benefit a community, it's very admirable.
